Upward Basketball is a ministry of Bethlehem Lutheran and Grace Church of Ridgewood, and Cornerstone Christian of Wyckoff ... Upward Basketball seeks to develop the self-esteem of Boys and Girls in the first to six grades, while teaching sportsmanship, character, athletic skills and respect for authority in every situation.

This basketball season, participate in a league that will redefine the word winner. Today's sports culture has created a "win at all cost" mentality, but Upward Basketball shows that winning is learning lessons in the game of life.

As a parent, you play a very important role in building the self-esteem and character of your child and every child in this league. Players look to their parents, coaches and referees as models for sportsmanship, respect for authority and positive attitudes. By signing your child up in Upward Basketball, you will provide a lasting effect in your child that will live well beyond the end of the season. The season is eight weeks long, with two preseason practices (10 weeks total). Weekly games and practices are one hour each.
